Review: Wild Grace by Max Lucado

SUMMARY (Amazon)

Big pressures, big choices, and an even bigger future. You wonder if you are able to keep up. Sometimes you wonder if you even measure up. But best-selling author Max Lucado offers a close look at God’s answer for the confusion of life – grace.

God’s grace has a drenching about it. A wildness about it. A whitewater, riptide, turn-you-upside-downness about it. Grace comes after you. Grace can change your life in powerful ways, even when that life is messed up, off track, or in trouble. Discover what this grace is all about. Listen to true stories of how grace changed the lives of other teens, and learn how it can work on you and through you.

I'll be honest, sometimes it's hard for me to read Christian non-fiction. Many times non-fiction work is hard to read, follow and understand. But Wild Grace was completely different and I found myself really interested in this devotional to grace. This book is mostly geared toward teens, but young adults and old adults too will be able to relate and get something out of this.

What I liked most was all the different stories that are sprinkled throughout the book. real life people struggling with grace and with their lives. I love all the scriptures that are in there and how they relate to grace and God's grace to us.

Something else that was very cool are the "Your Story" portions. These parts contain questions to get the reader thinking. I love when Christian literature does this. It's not all preaching to you, it's relating the subject matter to you and your life.

I think this book is something you can keep around and get into whenever you feel confused about God's grace to you and how you should use it. It was a fun and easy read and everybody of all ages can enjoy it.
