Review:

It took me a little bit to get into this story, but once I did, I really liked it. I loved watching ice skating when I was little so it kinda took me back to that place while I was reading, which is cool! It's like a little girl's fairy tale almost. It flowed nicely and had great character depth!

Edge of the Past

Review:

This was a great sequel! I think I liked it a smidge more than the first story. The characters were nicely described, very in depth. I liked all the different themes going on: romance, danger, success, fear. I liked how the Edge of the Past came and tied up loose ends that I was having problems with from the first story. It was nicely written and flowed logically.

Author Jennifer Comeaux

Jennifer Comeaux earned a Master of Accounting from Tulane University and is a Certified Public Accountant in south Louisiana. While working in the corporate world, she sought a creative outlet and decided to put on paper a story that had played in her head for years. That story became Life On the Edge, her first published novel.


When not working or writing, she is an avid follower of the sport of figure skating, travelling to competitions around the country. Those experiences allow her to see a different side of the sport and serve as an inspiration for her writing. Jennifer is blessed with a wonderful family and many friends who have encouraged her to pursue her dream of being a published author.

Review: I really liked this story! Cassidy is a VERY likable character and you find yourself breathless in anticipation for the end of the story. You just want to take her under your wing and protect her!

It was a fast paced, interesting and likable story. I wasn't bored at all and it had a mix of action, romance, sadness and happiness in it. Cami really wrote a rockin story!

Review: Good Gladys - Embrace the Dead by Martin Renaud

SUMMARY (Amazon)

News reports that the famous psychic Good Gladys is missing coincide with the brutal stabbing of her business manager. Gladys's daughter Dara asks an old friend, private investigator Byrne Aase, to help find the murderer. She claims that the man the police have in custody is innocent. In fact, she believes that the accused is her mother, having been transformed into a man during a seance gone awry.

This is a good old fashioned thriller, which I haven’t read in forever. I thought the book was very well written and flowed logically from beginning to end. There were a few parts I had to re-read due to me being confused, but the story line is pretty crazy, right!?

The characters are what surprised me the most. First I love all the names; an interesting character name always draws me in. I loved the way Dara and Byrne interact with each other. To me, Dara steals the show in this suspense novel.

This is a FUN read! I loved all the adventure and the true fantasy world that Chad creates in this story. Adam and Avery are brothers that I wished I had. They are fun, adventurous, handsome and brave!

What I liked most about this book that even though it was a long story, it flowed logically and was a fast read. There was never a dull part and Chad keeps you entertained the whole way.

This is book one in what should be a 9 part series. I look forward to reading more of Adam and Avery's adventures. This definitely reaches audiences of all ages!

Review: Ramblings in Ireland by Kerry Dwyer

This is not a book about rambling in Ireland.

It tells the tale of one particular walking trip and the memories and musings it inspired.

Exploring the West of Ireland is a time for meditation, spiritual reflection and strengthening the bonds of life. More practically the ability to read a map might have proved helpful. The tourist office in Ireland has all their paths clearly marked. You can’t go wrong if you follow that little yellow man. Or can you?

As British ex-patriate Kerry Dwyer leads Bertrand, her trusting French husband, astray once more, they reminisce and reflect upon accents and accidents, family and friends, love and what it means to be alive. Bertrand doesn’t mind getting lost - he loves Kerry all the more for going off the beaten track.

This is a book about ramblings in Ireland. Walk with Kerry and Bertrand and follow where your thoughts lead you.

I really loved this non-fiction account of a husband and wife and their interesting and powerful adventure. Kerry Dwyer is a master at describing the majestic nature of Ireland.

I am of Irish heritage and Ireland has always been on the top of my want list to visit, and now that I've read this book, I really cannot wait to go see this beautiful land.

I normally don't like non fiction or travel memoirs that much, but this was a very eay read from beginning to end. It wasn't dull or slow. It moves you easily from conversation to conversation.

Liking this story as much as I did was surprising but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It was beautifully written and Kerry is so wonderful at her descriptions. She is a very talented writer and I look forward to more of her work!

This book had it all, romance, excitment, fantasy and adventure. I really didn't know what I was getting myself into with this book from reading the summary. But I was not disappointed at the end of it.

I really love how unique all the ideas in this book are. It's not your basic fantasy and magic novel. It has a unique foundation in which S.G. Rogers enthralls you from the very beginning and doesn't let you go. You experience emotions all over the spectrum and S.G. makes you really believe these are living, breathing characters. She paints a beautiful story that I just did not want to end.

1. Who is your favorite character in Tournament of Chance?

I believe I might be half in love with Dane Ormvalder. He’s tortured by the loss of his father and his kingdom, and because he wasn’t able to prevent the tragedy that befell Ormaria, he somehow feels responsible. As a result, he comes off as arrogant and rude to Heather at first. Over time, however, his kindness, chivalry, and bravery emerge. Plus, he’s quite the best-looking man I’ve ever written.

2. What was your very first story you ever wrote about?

That might have been in grade school, when I composed a melodramatic serial about the evil scientist, Dr. Doom. Dr. Doom was obsessed with my best friend. He was constantly kidnapping her and trying to get her to fall in love with him. It was all very dramatic.

3. If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?

I think I would be completely awesome as a reality TV star on “The Real Housewives of Savannah.” People could follow along as I try to pull myself together daily.

4. What is your least favorite thing about writing?

Promotion and marketing. It’s an uncomfortable necessity, but difficult for a shrinking violet such as myself.

5. What does the future hold for you in regards to other works?

The second volume of my Yden trilogy (“Children of Yden”) has just been released, and I will be whipping the final Yden novel into shape for later in the year. However, I’ll also be developing more titles in the young adult romance genre. I’m kicking that off with a Victorian romance, and we’ll see where I go from there.
